§ 83-17. Maintenance.

  • (a)

    All signs and the premises surrounding the same shall be maintained by the owner thereof in a clean, sanitary, and inoffensive condition, and free and clear of all obnoxious substances, rubbish and weeds.

    (b)

    All signs shall be properly maintained at all times. Exposed surfaces shall be clean and painted if paint is required. Defective parts shall be replaced.

    (c)

    The administrator shall have the right to order the repair or removal of any sign which is defective, damaged, substantially deteriorated or presents a public hazard, as defined in the edition of the Standard Building Code in force in the city.
